At Amazon Web Services (AWS), we're seeking a dynamic Partner Solutions Architect to join our World Wide Public Sector team. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of enabling our key partners to unlock the transformative power of cloud computing, empowering their success in the public sector and commercial realms.

As a trusted advisor to our most strategic partners, you'll leverage your deep technical expertise to architect cutting-edge, enterprise-grade AWS solutions that revolutionize the way they serve their customers. Your ability to foster strong relationships and deliver captivating multi-day workshops will be instrumental in driving widespread adoption of AWS across the partner ecosystem.

But your impact won't stop there. You'll author thought-provoking white papers and engaging blog posts, sharing your insights with a global audience and establishing yourself as a subject matter expert in the cloud computing space. Additionally, you'll tackle complex technical inquiries with finesse, showcasing your problem-solving abilities and commitment to excellence.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, you will collaborate closely with our partners to develop their technical sales motions and go-to-market strategies for AWS solutions. You will also work hand-in-hand with partners to modernize their existing solutions and guide them in leveraging AWS services to drive growth and innovation.

You will represent AWS and our partners at industry events, delivering joint presentations to showcase our combined offerings. Your responsibilities include advocating for our partners' and their customers' needs to inform the AWS product roadmap.

Additionally, you will hire, coach, and mentor other Solutions Architects, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team. Your expertise will be instrumental in enabling the broader AWS field teams, equipping them with a deep understanding of our partners' solutions to drive effective co-selling efforts.

A day in the life

As a Partner Solutions Architect, your day revolves around enabling the success of your dedicated partners and their customers. You'll dive deep into their solutions, providing technical guidance and aligning with AWS services. Co-selling is a significant focus, collaborating with partner sales teams on go-to-market strategies and delivering joint presentations at industry events. You'll advocate for partners' needs within AWS, informing product roadmaps. Additionally, you'll mentor junior team members and enable broader AWS field teams, equipping them with knowledge to effectively co-sell your partners' offerings. Your expertise and collaboration drive widespread adoption, fostering a culture of innovation and customer success.

This role requires up to 30% travel.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US citizen OR This position requires the candidate selected be a US citizen because it provides services under a federal government contract with clearance requirements. This position is limited to individuals who can obtain and maintain the federal government clearance required by the contract.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience

  • 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience

  • 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within software development or Internet-related industries

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud

  • Experience working with AWS technologies from a dev/ops perspective
