Accenture Vulnerability Management Manager in Arlington, Virginia

You Are:

The Vulnerability Management (VM) Manager will oversee the vulnerability management function within the Threat and Vulnerability Management team at AFS. This includes standing up new capabilities and managing a team of resources across various functions such as vulnerability scanning, scan processing, scan reviews, configuration compliance, and software patch monitoring. It encompasses all company and company project IT across the enterprise. The resource will play a vital role in identifying and prioritizing vulnerabilities and will work closely with various environment owners and stakeholders. The VM Manager will ensure the timely response and accuracy of VM related matters. They will be responsible for organizing, reporting, and driving forward, both routine operational task and larger VM related team projects. The resource will work closely with Cyber Threat Intel and IT teams to assess impact and will maintain SOP documentation and report metrics at regular intervals.

The Work:

  • Has deep skills in understanding vulnerability descriptions and ability to establish and prioritize severity

  • Has a solid understanding of server, workstation, and network architecture

  • Has hands on experience with vulnerability scanning and detection tools

  • Strong ability to organize, track, and drive actions to closure

  • Has ability to research, process, and convey technical details clearly and in a range of situations, both in writing and verbally.

  • Can communicate effectively and clearly to leadership with relevant level of detail

  • Has proven ability to manage others and collaborate effectively across teams

Here's What You Need:

  • US Citizenship required

  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or IS related field, or equivalent work experience can be taken into consideration.

  • 7 years of accumulated experience related to one or more of the following technical roles: System Administration, Network Administration, Vulnerability Management, Vulnerability Scanning, Pen Testing, Security Architecture/Engineering

  • 4 years of experience specific to Vulnerability Management related area

  • 2 years of experience supervising and/or managing others

  • Experience using and configuring Tenable Nessus and Nmap.

  • MS Office suite tools experience, and comfortable with advanced Excel features.

  • Demonstrated written, oral, presentation skills.

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Experience using and configuring a Qualys scanner portal.

  • Experience with third party reputational and security scoring sites such as Security Scorecard and BitSight

  • Jira experience

  • Strong organizational skills, including attention to detail

  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects with overlapping time constraints

  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team member

  • Relevant security certifications, including CISSP, CEH

  • Knowledge of NIST information security guidance

  • Ability to research and quickly grasp unfamiliar technologies.

  • Linux OS and command line

  • ServiceNow Vulnerability Response (VR) module

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia is:

$103,200—$213,600 USD
