Systems Administrator (Operations 24x7 Support) 5:30PM-5:30AM

Our work depends on a TS/SCI Cleared Systems Administrator (Operations 24x7 Support) joining our team to support our intelligence customer in St. Louis, MO.

Position Summary:

Shift Hours: Wednesdays - Saturdays 5:30PM - 5:30AM (with alternating Wednesdays off)

The Systems Administrator (Operations 24x7 Support) is responsible for delivering, supporting, and providing first-level network and IT infrastructure event monitoring and event management in a 24x7 large-scale network, system, application, service, and business activity network operations environment located both on-premise and in the cloud. The Systems Administrator (Operations 24x7 Support) is also responsible for comparing and correlating events from multiple sources, maintaining accurate incident records, and initiating appropriate actions to avoid or minimize loss of IT services. Additionally, this role is responsible for establishing, managing, and maintaining standards, monitoring, and security items related to infrastructure. This position involves the deployment and support of the tools the company uses to monitor the network, systems, and applications. This position requires familiarity with the network architecture and supported applications within the Data Center environment.

What you will be working on:As a Systems Administrator (Operations 24x7 Support), you will:

  • Monitor and validate infrastructure components.
  • Perform infrastructure security monitoring, validation, and log review activities across all infrastructure elements.
  • Manage server configurations, monitoring, and security of physical and virtual servers and related infrastructure.
  • Handle network configuration and compliance monitoring of cloud-based systems.
  • Provide support and management of backup, disaster recovery, and related applications.
  • Accurately log, ticket, and own/escalate incidents resulting from infrastructure events.
  • Provide accurate, timely, and professional documentation on all supported issues.
  • Provide a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Follow up on all incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Quickly identify and escalate high-priority issues.
  • Accurately triage/assign/escalate tickets per standard operating procedures.
  • Efficiently and accurately resolve all assigned incidents.
  • Identify and document incident resolution and support knowledge.
  • Complete all assigned duties in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adhere to the schedule and maintain dependable attendance.
  • Maintain documentation.
  • Interact with users daily to assist with functionality and provide si uational awareness of ongoing issues.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
  • Participate in special projects as required.

What you will bring to us (Must):

  • Technically competent in server administration (Windows/Linux).
  • Knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in server (virtual and physical), network, database, cloud services, storage system administration and support.
  • Knowledge of related hardware and software, including Server (Physical/Virtual), Operations systems (Windows OS 2012/2016, Unix/Linux), Cisco, and Microsoft products.
  • Knowledge of basic networking principles (routing, DNS, etc.) and/or system administration (perfmon, services, software installation, etc.).
  • Familiarity with common network monitoring techniques and tools (e.g., BMC BEM/SIM/BPPM, HP NNM, CA eHealth, Splunk, Nagios) and ITSM suites (ServiceNow, Remedy).
  • Excellent communication, customer service, time management, conflict resolution, and problem determination/resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple complex tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in priority.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically for expedient problem-solving.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment.
  • AA/AS Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field/equivalent experience preferred.
  • Relevant technical certifications preferred (A+, Network+, Server Administration, etc.).
  • Security+ certification (REQUIRED).
  • Familiarity with ITIL (certification preferred).
