Insight Global CNC Lathe Setup/Operator 2nd Shift in Arvada, Colorado

Job Description

A worldwide Manufacturing company is looking for a 2nd shift CNC Machinist (2:00pm - 10:30pm Mon-Fri) for permanent placement in Arvada, CO. The Machinist will play a crucial role in the fabrication of metal parts, including complex impellors and inducers, for use in multiple growing industries. Main responsibilities include setting up and operating multiple CNC lathes and multi axis mill turns (Okuma LB15, Doosan/Okuma 9 axis) , and grinders, and balancing machines on materials including stainless/hardened steel and exotic metals like titanium, inconel, and hastelloy. Machinists may need to work with tolerances down to 5 tenths, make and modify tooling/gauging, and inspect products using micrometers, dial indicators, surface plate, bench comparators, profilometers, and optical comparators. Candidates will need to be able to work independently, and have the ability to learn and apply new information. Balancing experience is heavily preferred. They will start off on 1st Shift (6:00am - 2:30pm Mon-Fri) until up to speed (2-3 months) when they will move to 2nd shift (2:00pm - 10:30pm Mon-Fri)

 The position has room for advancement within the company. Employees are eligible for health and dental benefits on day one, and will also be able to take advantage of a 401K with 60% match up to 6% and tuition reimbursement for continued education.

Skills and Requirements

HS Diploma/GED

3+ years of experience in machine setup and operation with Lathe, and a variety of other machines (Mill, grinders, balancing machines preferred)

Experience working with exotic metals in addition to steel (Titanium, Inconel, Hastelloy)

Ability to read, interpret, and make minor edits to G&M Code COP (Certified Operation Program)

Balancing Experience

Working knowledge of Shop Trigonometry null
