Amazon is seeking a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer I to join their team. As a Data Center Technical Operations Engineer I, you will be part of the Engineering Operations supporting critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a keen attention to detail which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Data Center Technical Operations Engineer I

Location: Ashburn, VA

Duration:? 6 Months on W2

What's the Job?

  • Responsible for the on-site management of shift technicians, ensuring all work performed is in accordance with established practices and procedures.

  • Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.

  • Coordinate projects with IT managers and other business leaders to manage capacity and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.

  • Operate and manage both routine and emergency services on a variety of critical systems such as switchgear, generators, and UPS systems.

  • Assist in the design and build-out of new facilities and projects to increase current facility efficiency.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor's Degree or Technical (Military/Trade School) Degree and relevant experience.

  • 0-2 years of relevant work experience in data center operations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.

  • Ability to prioritize in a complex, fast-paced environment.
