MACHINE OPERATOR - Start ASAP

$19.43/hr, 1st and 2nd shift, Asheville, NC

Job Description:

• Reads and interprets drawings along with visual inspection of sheet metal products

• Flexing/Cross Training is a must to be effective as a team

• Participate in resolving production challenges and making process decisions

• Assist in selection and/or set-up of specialized equipment

• Perform a wide variety of troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues

• Perform equipment set-up, calibration, and preventative maintenance

• Running Press Brake equipment, CNC punch press, Fiber Optic laser’s, Haeger Pem Machines

• Follow audit and safety guidelines

Skills & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3-6 months of manufacturing or mechanical assembly experience

• Experience in precision mechanical operation and low volume, complex manufacturing processes preferred

• Experience in lean manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement a plus

• Ability to read tape measure/ Calipers or other measuring devices. (or ability to learn)

• Ability to analyze and solve problems independently as well as collaboratively
