Adjunct Job Announcement

Position: Physics Adjunct Instructor

Location: Athens Campus

Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety

Reports to: Divisional Academic Dean

Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities: The successful applicant will be expected to implement course materials that support stated initiatives and use appropriate teaching techniques to provide students with the knowledge needed to achieve the learning outcomes for each course offered.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree with eighteen (18) semester hours in physics or a related field.

  • Strong communication skills and work ethic

  • Willingness to teach at all Athens Technical College locations

  • Willingness to teach Athens Technical College courses on area high school campuses.

  • Willingness to teach using all college approved methods (Ex. face-to-face, online, audio/video, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level.

  • Experience with online teaching platforms; BlackBoard preferred.
