Trinity Health Clinical Education Manager, RN in Athens, Georgia

Description:

  • Responsible for management of clinical system-wide education functions within St. Mary’s Health Care System

  • Participates and guides in performance improvement activities to facilitate effective use of resources to manage quality of care

  • Facilitates and develops productive working relationships with system management, physicians, staff and the community

  • Responsible for developing and directing crucial aspects of education including leadership development, orientation, skills competency, pursuance of nursing specific accreditation/certifications and directs learning experiences from affiliated colleges and universities

  • Works closely with senior leaders and others to identify tactics to maximize the return on investment for patient education programs

  • Participates and partners with Quality department for any hospital accreditation survey or inspection

Position Requirements :

A: Licensure/Certification/Registration : Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of Georgia. BLS required.

B. Education: . Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s Degree is desirable.

C: Experience: Minimum of five years experience in nursing. Minimum of one year of experience in nurse education or leadership (formal or informal) required.

D. Special Qualifications: A high degree of initiative and independent judgment is required. Must have a broad knowledge of conditions of illness based on education and clinical experience. Must have a thorough understanding of the nursing process and know basic principles and practices of adult education.
