The Project Manager, Operations serves as a Client Project Manager for strategic projects following the HAPM process and in accordance with all regulations (USDA, GMP, OHS, EHSS, etc.), with company policies and procedures while ensuring that project deliverables meet the business and operational needs. This position supports Operational Excellence through the monitoring and management of established Athens Hoshin projects and serves as IPS Support for other initiatives/projects as requested. This role is also tasked with planning, executing, and supervising the Athens project portfolio, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and on time.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensures deliverables for strategic projects are met on time and within budget following the HAPM process and the client's needs.

  • Creates and leads Client Project Team.

  • As Project Portfolio Manager, synchronizes the milestones and deliverables of site projects with the milestones of local and global operations projects.

  • As IPS Support Project Manager, plans, executes, and leads projects successfully as well as coordinates team members and activities; communicates effectively.

  • Establishes ownership for project deliverables holding team members accountable.

  • Applies and role models change management aspects while managing projects and tasks.

  • Ensures effective and strategic communication between local and global stakeholders focused in delivering expected results.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business Administration or another business or scientific field required.

  • Certified PMO preferred, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

  • Four (4) years general experience in a laboratory or industrial setting.

  • Three to four (3-4) years’ experience in project management.

  • Experience managing projects in excess of $1,000,000.

  • Experience working in FDA or USDA regulated facilities.

  • Experience with lean tools and process optimization; strong facilitation and communication skills

  • Problem solving/decision making skills.

  • Networking skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Leadership and motivation skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office and other database software systems.

  • Emotional intelligence training (preferred).

Eligibility Requirements :

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.

  • Must be willing to take a drug test and post-offer physical (if required).

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
