Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Atlanta, Georgia
Description We are seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and offers a contract-to-permanent position. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of account payables, maintaining comprehensive records, and resolving any related issues. You will also be responsible for monitoring account activities and taking necessary actions.
Responsibilities:
• Efficiently process invoices by matching, batching, and coding them.
• Regularly update and reconcile the sub-ledger with the General Ledger.
• Manage post and reconciliation of batches.
• Investigate and resolve exceptions in the accounts payable process.
• Maintain capital lease and monthly payment schedules.
• Utilize V-Lookups and Pivot Tables in recent versions of Excel for data management.
• Participate in system conversions and mergers/acquisitions.
• Assist in annual audits and staff adjustments as required.
• Cover for medical/maternity leaves and peak workload demands.
• Contribute to the high-volume processing of Payables. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Coding is required for this role.
• Familiarity with various Accounting Software Systems is essential.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is a must.
• Knowledge of Concur software is expected.
• Understanding and experience with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial.
• Comprehensive understanding of Accounting Functions is necessary.
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) is required.
• Proficiency in Accrual Accounting is necessary.
• Auditing skills are essential for this role.
• Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) is a must.
