The Associate Consultant Role You will work directly with clients and gain exposure to important strategic issues on a broad range of consulting engagements. Associate Consultants research, analyze, interview, recommend, facilitate, advise and produce deliverables that contribute to project success and long lasting client relationships. Travel, at the discretion of the client, may be necessary. The Project Team You will work on small project teams to identify, and often times implement, solutions for clients problems and challenges. Project teams are typically composed of three or four consultants and a partner. Working closely with experienced ScottMadden consultants and partners will maximize your learning and enable meaningful project contributions from your very first assignment. You will be assigned a Partner-level sponsor who encourages and supports your development goals and a same-level on-boarding ambassador who ensures you have all the tools needed to be successful in your first year with the firm. Feedback is provided frequently, with structured review processes occurring at the end of each project and annually. The Qualifications Masters degree in Business Administration Excellent analytical, writing, and communication skills Skilled in problem-solving and building relationships Service-oriented and client-focused Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) The Requirements For the Associate Consultant role, you must have three to five years of previous work experience. The nature of this experience - whether it is in general management, operations, strategy development, implementation, marketing, or finance - is not as important as the level of responsibility you assumed, and the accomplishments you achieved. Some of our Associate Consultants have experience in the energy or management consulting fields; however, specific experience in a particular functional area or industry is not essential for this position as we are confident that the people we hire will learn and begin contributing quickly.
