Job Description:

Our customer at the Centers for Disease Control, Division of Emergency Operations is looking for an Inventory Specialist to support deployable staff within the office. Apply your expertise to advance the mission and optimize our business strategy as an Inventory Specialist at GDIT. Here, you’ll support solving some of our clients’ biggest challenges and help us grow the business.

This position is 100% onsite with no option for telework

How an Inventory Specialist will make an impact:

  • Perform function checks to ensure equipment readiness, issue equipment and receive returned equipment, ensuring proper documentation is maintained.

  • Ensure readiness of deployer communication equipment and assist deployers with operations to include some limited trouble shooting.

  • Ensure the proper levels of inventory are maintained in storage.

  • Support inventory protocols to ensure quantity and valuation accuracy of DEO inventory.

  • Assist with review of expiry dates of all medical equipment and supplies.

  • Adhere to controls for the ordering, receiving, and disbursing of inventory.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus 2 years of related experience

  • Logistical supply room/inventory management experience

  • Expertise in the use of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook Mail)

  • Proven ability to communicate needs at all briefings to assist with operational strategy

  • Ability to identify gaps in existing resources

  • Ability to multitask in emergency situations

  • Ability to be flexible with a strong sense of urgency

  • Interpersonal business etiquette communication via telephone and email

  • Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail

  • Strong organizational skills

The likely salary range for this position is $52,603 - $62,100. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
