Actalent Construction Manager in Atlanta, Georgia

Description:

Acts as assistant to the Program Manager. Responsible for the delivery of the project and or phase and will be supported by a site-based team during the construction fit-out and commissioning and handover phases of the project. Responsible for project meeting cadence and communication project status reporting manages and monitors all processes supporting project delivery. Monitors refines the long-range and short-term plans to ensure success on the construction project. Directs and coordinates the day-to-day activities in the field manages and coordinates the flow of information control costs manage and control the schedule implement and monitor the safety programs and verify that the completed work is constructed to a quality level consistent with the requirements of the construction documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Attends and advises during scheduled owner/architect/contractor and other project meetings. Coordinates meetings and activities of vendors and cost managers and attends scheduled owner/architect/contractor and other project meetings.

  • Provides specific project data supporting cost and key performance indicator KPI metrics invoices process and policies in order to communicate status to client partners. Reports on project progress regarding scope schedule standards and budget.

  • Confirms the scoped resources e.g. people materials equipment are available for the job. Partners with construction staff to procure additional materials as needed.

  • Develops and maintains productive relationships with implementation partners Operations Security Authorities having jurisdiction and leadership.

  • Provide oversight and communication with onsite contractors and vendors.

  • Represents as a safety leader and advocate onsite ensuring adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements e.g. OSHA or equivalent to ensure compliance and aggressive management of risk. Conducts routine safety program project and contractor audits and performs and participates in incident investigations.

  • Reviews engineering documentation/designs site and building plans by examining and analyzing technical information.

  • Monitors the approved project budget and provides oversight for project controls e.g. Project Expenditure Request PERs Professional Services Request PSRs Change Orders Pay Applications etc..

  • Performs field observations.

  • Has an understanding of site work civil work and underground utilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Construction Project Management Architecture Engineering or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience. Technical/commercial projects.

  • OSHA 10 Hour required.

  • Understands how to read drawings and interpret building codes.

  • Hours are 6:30 to 4:30. Some weekend work may be required depending on vendor/ contractor.

  • Licensed or Registered Architectural/ Engineering Professional preferred.

  • Experience with Hyperscale Data Center Builds preferred.

  • OSHA 30 Hour preferred.

  • Experience with Six Sigma LEAN Processed Kaizen Total Quality Management preferred.
