Provides oversight and direct leadership on multiple concurrent projects/programs in Truist’s Enterprise Technology division supporting Continuous Service Improvements (CSI) for the Core Technology and Operations organization (CT&O). This position is responsible for being the technology SME on the CSI team, someone who had a background in being an IT Enterprise Architect, IT Solutions Architect, or IT Sysadmin who is passionate about finding, architecting, and applying technology solutions to enhance IT Operations with automation or other solutions driving IT service excellence.
In this position you will be leading continuous improvement projects and programs for the CT&O organization. This position is responsible for driving results, enabling and supporting teammates and partners (project managers, risk team, IT SMEs). In this position, the person must be able to work at the tactical level (analyzing data, solving problems, and working with teams for implementation) to support identified optimization projects and develop forward-looking processes and systems that support the development, operational effectiveness and continual improvement to support the organization's objectives.
This position ensures that all technology deliverables, systems, and processes meet the highest standards of quality, reliability, and compliance. This leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation, standardization, and continuous improvement across enterprise technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Technology Strategy and Leadership:
Lead the collaboration efforts with Enterprise Architecture and IT Ops to understand the current technologies and their capabilities being used in CT&O Enterprise Technology.
Act as a key advisor to CTO leaders on technology opportunities, and advancements. Continue to keep an eye on industry trends to identify net new automation and digitization tools which can help simplify and automate large and complex operational processes & business functions.
Lead projects to utilize Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Infrastructure Automation and AI/Machine learning.
- Process Optimization and Standardization:
Demonstrates a solution-oriented mindset that prioritizes understanding the nuances of business processes and problems, then designing tailored solutions that meet the specific needs of the business.
Ensure consistent application of quality standards across all operations functions and external partnerships utilizing lean and six sigma methodologies.
- Performance Monitoring and Improvement:
Implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor the quality of IT systems, services, and deliverables.
Utilize outputs from data-driven analysis, business process management, risk management, and continuous improvement across CT&O to identify potential technology/automation solutions to enhance services.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO, ITIL, SOC 2) and regulatory requirements for quality management.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Establish communities of practice (CoPs) – Automation community to share ideas, tools, best practices, brainstorm.
- Project and Program Management:
Build relationships by having the emotional intelligence to quickly establish credibility and gain the trust/respect of partners within the organization. Inform people of both the "why" and "how" of delivering successful projects.
Embrace ambiguity and bring order with comfort by drawing the map and taking vague direction to translate into a concise plan. Bring ideas and direction, eagerly embrace feedback and integrate that into the final solution.
Take lead and have the experience to choose the correct methodology (PMP PMBOK, Agile, DMAIC) for each project. Define project scope, identify deliverables, mange risks, and effectively communicate will all project stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Ten years progressive related experience in either a consulting, project management or process improvement related role
Strong skills and experience in issue resolution, influencing team members and other stakeholders, conducting difficult negotiations and managing to stringent timelines for project deliverables
Demonstrated superior understanding of business and technology organization, resources, priorities, needs and policies
Demonstrated leadership in the implementation of complex programs and projects
Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous assignments
Demonstrated executive level verbal and written communication skills
Superior working knowledge of business matters, finance, planning, and forecasting
Strong skills in MS Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, Project)
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more years of experience as an IT Manager/Architect/Automation Engineer and leading improvement projects for IT in financial / banking services.
Expert with IT products and Infrastructure (Network, Storage & Compute, Middleware & Databases, Mainframe, Remote access) and Cloud Computing (Public, Hybrid, On Premises), models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
Expert with IT services (Server Build, Patching, Asset Hardening, Certificate Management, Workstation App Packaging & Distribution, Data Transmission & Batch).
Expert with IT Service Management (CMDB, Incident, Problem, Change, Service).
Expert with RPA (Robotic Process Automation) – examples: UI Path, Power Automate.
Expert with IT Automation tools – examples: Puppet, AppViewX, Powershell, Ansible, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, Atera, Dynatrace to design and build workflow automation.
Expert with Software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes, Agile frameworks, and DevOps practices.
Expert verbal and written communication skills, group facilitation, ability to lead/influence and interact effectively with all levels of management.
Strong with NIST, TOGAF/EA Methodologies /Frameworks, Security Program. Management & Support.
Strong with Tableau and Power BI (Data analysis & Dashboard design).
Strong in Business Process Management (BPM) and documenting processes:
a. Process swim lane mapping with ARIS or Visio. RACI – roles/responsibilities
b. RCSA/FMEA - documenting process risk and controls with Archer software
c. Defining VOC – CTQ, critical to the customer and how will we measure it
Certified/or pursuing Lean Six Sigma Green or higher Belt (Experience working on DMAIC improvement projects). If not certified, must complete Truist Green Belt certification program in one year
Project/Agile certifications: PMI PMP, CSM, CSPO, SAFe 6 Agilist
IT Certifications: ITIL 4 Managing Professional (ITIL MP) or ITIL 4 Strategic Leader, Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals & Azure AI Fundamentals, ServiceNow - IT Service Management (ITSM) Professional Suite, UiPath - Automation Solution Architect Professional, CompTIA: (Network +, Security +, Cloud +, Server +) 15. AI and Machine Learning (Training from MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, NVIDIA, Microsoft, IBM, Google, Coursera, Udemy)
