Inspire Brands Director, Consumer Insights & Research in Atlanta, Georgia

Working as a senior leader within the Consumer Insights team, the Director of Consumer Insights will interact with the Brand CMOs for all things related to Consumer Insights Strategy and Research Planning and act as a strategic business partner for the Inspire portfolio. Additionally, this person is expected to be the company's expert on consumer research and methodology. This role will partner with other cross-functional teams to further develop capabilities, deliver actionable and integrated insights, and deliver economies of scale across initiatives and methodologies. This person will direct and support the Consumer Insights teams for all our brands and manage multiple large-scale vendor relationships.

This position sits in our Atlanta Support Center, with the expectation to be onsite 80% of the time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Interface with key brand leaders (VP/CMO) to develop learning roadmaps, and research plans and drive organizational priorities.

  • Determine the optimal methodologies and vendor partners to address the strategic research objectives and meet brand deliverables.

  • Identify and provide actionable insights from industry sources and consumer trends to impact brand strategy, marketing activation, and product innovation.

  • Scrutinize and reevaluate best practices across Inspire Brands to ensure content is actionable and relevant while looking for opportunities to reduce, improve, or add new consumer insights products and/or capabilities based on evolving brand needs.

  • Socialize insights across Inspire Brands, making connections between business partners where relevant.

  • Lead, develop, and strengthen the Consumer Insights teams to ensure exceptional support to their respective brands and stakeholders.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year Degree required.

  • 10-15 years of experience in Market Research, Consumer Insights, or related field.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Social Science, or similar.

  • Preferred: MBA or Master’s Degree in Market Research (MMR).

  • Significant experience designing and leading both qualitative and quantitative research studies, with expertise in statistical techniques and methodologies.

  • Experience managing people and research budgets.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, or ABILITIES

  • A passion for solving business problems using data-driven methods and information (data discovery, data visualization, and data mining).

  • Ability to synthesize and translate consumer research into strong actionable insights in order to address business challenges.

  • Proven collaboration, strategic thinking, leadership, and influencing skills.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially the ability to explain difficult concepts and insights in applicable business terms.

  • Strong ability to summarize insights into (PowerPoint) presentations in clear and understandable calls to action.

  • Strong analytical, project, and time management skills.

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
