We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Accounting to lead and oversee key accounting functions within our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of month-end close processes, as well as managing the Accounts Payable (AP), Payroll, and general accounting teams. This role will also handle the operationalizing of Procurement activities and serve as a key liaison with our outsourced tax function. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in GAAP, financial analysis, and team leadership.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on complex accounting issues, including business combinations, stock-based compensation, derivatives, lease accounting, goodwill impairment and other areas of U.S. GAAP.

  • Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations and team to include AP, Payroll, and GL accounting teams. Drive efficiencies in the month-end close and accounting reconciliation process.

  • Provide technical accounting guidance for M&A transactions, including purchase accounting, integration of acquired entities, and the assessment of valuation models from specialists.

  • Work closely with finance, legal, revenue accounting team, and other departments to address technical accounting issues that impact various aspects of the business.

  • Own the cap table reporting and address ad-hoc financial reporting requests from CFO and private equity owners.

  • Oversee cash management and treasury activities, including debt compliance and investment management.

  • Govern the vendor management and end-to-end procurement process by partnering with FP&A team around contract renewals and new vendor requests.

Required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

  • CPA License

  • 10+ years experience in an accounting related role, including xtensive knowledge of accounting procedures and U.S. GAAP accounting principles

  • 5+ years experience leading month-end close activities

Preferred qualifications:

  • 5+ years working for a big four public accounting firm with a mix of industry experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex accounting issues to non-accounting stakeholders

  • Netsuite expertise

  • Software/Technology/Healthcare industry experience

  • Advanced excel skillset

*The US base salary range for this full-time position is:

$143,327.23 - $214,990.85
