Based in Atlanta, you will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your highway/roadway design expertise learned at school working on transportation related projects. You’ll work with the best Engineers and Project Managers in the business. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.

Traffic analysis:

• Traffic volume forecasting

• Safety improvement studies

• Microsimulation

• IJR/IMR studies

• Traffic impact studies

• Parking studies

• Signal warrant studies

Traffic signal operations:

• Clearance interval calculation

• Signal timing optimization

• Active traffic management

• Asset management

• Communications

• Timing database entry

• Ramp metering

Traffic signal design:

• Performs calculations for a variety of projects, sketches, technical comparisons and similar technical work as required by assignment

• Coordinates project assignments with those of other engineers and technicians in his/her discipline group.

• Reviews drawings supplied by contractors, clients, and engineers then recommends necessary changes.

• Researches code issues and works with City, State, and County officials.

• Researches design options and documents findings for Project Engineers and/or Project Managers.

• Provides project cost estimating.

• Attends design review meetings, and interact with clients as his or her level of experience progresses

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

  • Course work related to transportation

  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and organizational skills.

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • 3.0 GPA

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) or ability to obtain within 6 months.

  • 1 year of previous design or intern experience.

  • Knowledge of and experience using CADD/Design software (Microstation/Inroads and AutoCAD/Civil 3D)
