Microsoft Corporation Finance Manager - Fixed Assets in Atlanta, Georgia

The Microsoft Corporate Fixed Asset team is responsible for the reporting accuracy of over $100 billion in assets for U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). We are looking for a Finance Manager - Fixed Assets to join our team. As a member of the Corporate Accounting Fixed Asset team this role is responsible for Microsoft’s Supply Chain Fixed Asset accounting and will support reporting requirements, process improvements, data reconciliation and procedural efficiencies.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for close-related activities including monthly general ledger account reconciliations for the Company’s manufacturing assets.

  • Partner closely with global Supply Chain business partners to prepare monthly management reporting, variance analysis, and research.

  • Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), operational controls, and compliance for manufacturing assets.

  • Responsible for global tangible asset inventory and retirement policy and process.

  • Act as primary resource to identify fixed asset data quality and reporting enhancements by partnering with global stakeholders including Cloud & Infrastructure and Global Workplace Services.

  • Primary liaison for OneAsset reporting tool.

  • Collaborate with team members on process improvement initiatives and projects.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 2+ years accounting or finance experience

  • OR Master's Degree in Business, Accounting /Finance, or related field AND 1+ year(s) accounting or finance experience

  • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 4+ years of accounting or finance experience

  • Professional accounting certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.

  • Experience with ERP, fixed assets, or other system subledger a plus.

  • Experience dealing with complexity and ambiguity to find answers and reach conclusions and operational excellence.

  • Experience incorporating planning and organizational skills into work projects

Accounting IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
