Delta Air Lines Human Resources team is in the midst of a multi-year HR transformation. We are looking for an experienced HR Project Management and Portfolio Strategic Governance Leader focused on initiatives across Human Resources organization. This role is integral to ensuring significant HR projects are accomplished with a high level of quality and a customer satisfaction mindset. The role functions in a dynamic environment to meet the challenges facing the airline today. The major priority for the successful candidate will be to establish the strategy, schedule, and plan for a cross-function governance process to achieve streamlined decision making and project accountability. The position will also provide primary facilitation for the execution of Governance Boards, the Human Resources roadmap/strategy and strategic initiatives set in place by executive leaders across Delta Air Lines.
This position is based in Atlanta, GA.
Primary Functions:
Ensure that HR projectsare accomplished on time, on budget and with a high level of quality.Ensure that the employee experience meetsDelta's high expectations.
Establish successfulgovernance program, short and long term vision & plan, for HR projectportfolio management.
Foster a processimprovement mindset and develop repeatability within the work that we do.
Guide senior leaders inboard facilitations to support Human Resource Executive Leadership in strategybuilding, execution and tracking.
Influence the development,continual update and execution management for the Human Resources StrategicRoadmap, vision and additional strategic initiatives through coordination andfacilitation of cross-function senior leaders.
Establish, maintain andguide a governance program within Human Resources to execute strategy set byExecutive Leadership Team, report on portfolio of projects across HumanResources, and manage decisions based on progress.
Lead and develop a team ofspecialists who will be responsible for the development of project plans,briefing papers, progress updates and ensure appropriate and effectivecommunications with key executive stakeholders.
Support project teams,business leaders, and technology support in developing appropriate businesscases and materials to communicate with executive leadership team.
Develop board/committeemeeting cadence, schedules, agendas, and background materials for boarddeliberations.
Team with all stakeholdersand identified key staff to pursue organizational strategies, improvements, andinitiatives outlined from Executive Leaders.
Develop a board andcommittee calendar of annual activities to fulfill governance responsibilities.
Proficiency with MSProject, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint with experience presenting tostakeholders and / or senior leadership.
A high level of discretionand responsibility when it comes to handling sensitive information.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
Minimum7-10 years relevant work experience.
Significantexperience establishing and managing governance boards, decision centers ofexcellence, and/or executive leadership teams.
Fluencyin project management methods including Agile.
Greenand Black Belt certifications are welcome.
5-6years experience facilitating executive level discussions, developing seniorlevel presentations and delivering strategic initiatives.
2-3years managing team members driving with KPIs and/or performance metrics.
Highlevel of organization and ability to manage multiple activities.
Attentionto detail, problem-solving and decision-making.
Exceptionallyskilled at building relationships and providing excellent customer service todepartmental staff, boards, executive leaders, outside agencies, vendors andother cross-department Stakeholders.
Outstandingverbal and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with awide variety of people.
Abilityto work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Managetime well and perform multiple tasks, works well under pressure and exercisetact in trying situations.
Ifinternal, must be performing satisfactorily in current position.
Familiaritywith Delta culture, standards, policies and executive leaders.
Consistentlyprioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
Embraces diversepeople, thinking, and styles.
Possesses a highschool diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
Is at least 18 yearsof age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Bachelor's or advanceddegree in HR, business or related field preferred.
Experience with Airlineapplications and infrastructure technology is preferred.
PMP and/or Black Beltcertifications are welcome
