We are seeking a candidate with experience or interest in hydraulic modeling and infrastructure planning for water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, and stormwater conveyance systems, along with design support for pumping and conveyance projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing engineering analysis, planning, and design on a range of civil and hydraulic projects. This role offers exceptional technical challenges, opportunities to mentor junior staff, and involvement in projects both domestically and globally.
Key Responsibilities: Perform hydraulic modeling for infrastructure systems, including water distribution, sanitary sewers, storm sewers, open channels, and drainage systems. Conduct hydraulic calculations to support infrastructure design. Prepare technical reports and design documents with accuracy and adherence to engineering standards. Evaluate alternatives, address technical issues, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams. Interpret specifications and drawings, recommend design adjustments, and collaborate closely with the design team. Develop solutions for engineering challenges and communicate with discipline managers to ensure efficient, safe, and compliant project delivery. Work with design staff on infrastructure-related projects involving water distribution, sanitary sewer collection, stormwater, and other hydraulic equipment. Participate in marketing efforts, including client engagement, proposal preparation, and project interviews.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, with a focus on hydrology and hydraulics. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification (or FE exam completion) required; PE licensure preferred. Proficiency in hydrology/hydraulics software and Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred knowledge of ArcGIS, InfoWater, SWMM, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and MIKE URBAN/MIKE software. Strong skills in communication, report writing, organization, and analysis. Experience in hydrology/hydraulics, grading and drainage, bridges, pump and system-curve analysis, dams, and other structures preferred..
