Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Lead Quality Engineer with expertise in testing Android mobile apps and websites, along with proficiency in automation. As a lead Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our mobile applications and web platforms. You will lead a team of quality engineers and work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies, automate test processes, and drive continuous improvement in quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of quality engineers responsible for testing Android mobile apps and websites across multiple platforms and devices.

• Develop and implement testing strategies, test plans, and test cases to ensure comprehensive coverage of functional, performance, and usability requirements.

• Design and develop automated test scripts and frameworks using tools such as Appium, Selenium, or Espresso to streamline testing processes and improve efficiency.

• Collaborate with software development, product management, and design teams to identify testing requirements, prioritize testing efforts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

• Conduct root cause analysis for defects and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve product quality and reliability.

• Define and track key quality metrics and KPIs to monitor product quality, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Stay current with industry trends and best practices in quality assurance and automation and recommend process improvements as needed.

• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to team members to support their professional growth and development.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.

• 10+ years of experience in quality engineering or software testing, with a focus on testing Android mobile apps and websites.

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and executing automated test scripts and frameworks for mobile and web applications.

• Strong knowledge of mobile and web technologies, platforms, and standards, including Android, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.

• Experience with test automation tools such as Appium, Selenium WebDriver, Espresso, or similar.

• Solid understanding of software development methodologies, QA processes, and best practices.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE...

• Experience with using test management tools (such as practitest)

• Experience with mobile tools such as AppCenter, Firebase

• Worked with GCP and GCP products, such as Firebase

• Familiar with NoSQL/Document databases, such as Firestore and MongoDB

• Familiarity with full stack interactions

• Experience with SCRUM

• Familiar with nestjs, nextjs

• Familiar with cloud/web development

• Familiar with GitHub Ci/CD tools

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.

• Prior leadership experience or roles in tech lead capacities.
