Job Description:

At Regions, the Loan Fulfillment Consumer Underwriting Supervisor leads a team of underwriters responsible for evaluating and approving or denying consumer loan applications in a timely manner according to investor and Regions guidelines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages the administration and coordination of all consumer underwriting activities including verifying information submitted by loan applicants for accuracy and adherence to established underwriting criteria

  • Directs the day to day activities of consumer underwriting to ensure procedures are accurately and efficiently carried out

  • Resolves any escalated issues, answers questions, and performs quality checks

  • Completes performance reviews of staff

  • Coaches, counsels, and disciplines staff

  • Implements department policies and procedures

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

This position is incentive eligible.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and five (5) years of underwriting or credit review experience

  • Or Bachelor's degree and one (1) year of underwriting or credit review experience

  • One (1) year of leadership or supervisory experience

Preferences

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience managing a team

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to supervise and manage a team

  • Detail oriented

  • Excellent organization and communication skills

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Extensive knowledge of regulations and agency and investor guidelines

  • Knowledge of sales contracts, applications and loan appraisals

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)

This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL, Nashville, TN, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense.

Compensation Details

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. As these factors vary by individuals, pay will also vary among individual associates within the same job.

The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.

Job Range Target:

Minimum:

$59,643.60 USD

Median:

$89,090.00 USD

Incentive Pay Plans:

This role is eligible to participate in a formulaic incentive plan. Employees have the potential to earn incentives based on performance against defined metrics and goals.
