Job Summary

The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager is primarily responsible for the oversight and performance of several financial activities for PJ Food Service (PJFS), including providing financial expertise and guidance to the PJFS business. This role is responsible to guide planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities in support of major decisions by PJFS leadership. The role uses both quantitative and qualitative analysis of all operational aspects of the company to evaluate progress toward achieving its goals and to map out future goals and plans.

Duties and Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

  • Develop and support PJFS in all planning cycles (AOP/budget, long-range plan, etc.); variance analysis against forecast and budgets; and work closely with business partners to analyze actual results and identify trends.

  • Support continuous cost improvement; month end review, including developing insights on financial trends.

  • Use financial expertise to define key investment metrics to provide comprehensive decision support and prioritization guidance, target performance levels/KPIs, review data visualization dashboards to support to track performance against pre-determined metrics.

  • Identify, recommend, and implement changes in methods or procedures to improve the efficiency of areas owned by this position.

  • Support cross-functional teams, as appropriate, to develop financial business cases supporting proposed strategic initiatives and special projects, including financial modeling and analysis.

  • Standard management and executive level presentations and reports.

  • Provide oversight/review of certain contract negotiations performed by the Direct Procurement teams, as needed.
