What you'll Do

The Payroll Manager will oversee day-to-day payroll functions, be part of the leadership team that supports payroll and tax administration, analyzes payroll data, ensure payrolls are processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with law regulations. This role will supervise payroll staff and ensure payroll related deadlines are met within SLAs. Supervise and direct payroll team Direct payroll team's workload to meet deadlines Monitor team's appointments, assignments, feedback, and training as required Develop the knowledge, abilities, and skills of payroll team Performance manages payroll staff for growth within the team Serve as point of contact for corporate leaders and field support Be knowledgeable about and understand new legislation impacting payroll. Ensure payrolls are processed timely and accurately Review payroll procedures and amend procedures when required Collaborate with leadership on projects as needed Participate and lead cross-functional teams to implement new processes and/or recommend changes. Identify/research and resolve global payroll issues, specifically Canada Subject matter expert on standard methodologies for payroll, tax, and SOX controls Ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with others of all levels. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills Lead system upgrades and compliance changes as required

What Experience and Education You Need Bachelor's Degree preferred or equivalent work experience (Preferred). Knowledge of Oracle Cloud HCM and Payroll (Preferred) Minimum 3 years' management experience (Required). Minimum 5 years' payroll processing experience (Required) Understanding of Canada payroll, wage and hour compliance regulations (Preferred) Canada Revenue Agency knowledge of tax remittance balances and year end T4s. (Preferred) Strong ability to maintain confidentiality to payroll and personal information. Ability to successfully balance competing priorities and effectively manage workload. Results-oriented, accountable, analytical, and highly organized

Physical Requirements Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time, with frequent interruptions Requires several hours per day of sitting, getting up and down from chairs, and reaching, or bending Requires manual dexterity with normal hand and finger movements for typical office work Talking, hearing, and seeing are important elements of completing assigned tasks May require travel by automobile and airplane for business May require visits to warehouse operations in temperatures at or below freezing May require carrying loads related to travel and the occasional lifting, carrying, positioning, and/or moving of objects weighing up to 20 pounds Requires the use of various electronic tools
