Description - Fitness Instructor – On Call

Are you passionate about empowering individuals to lead healthier lives? Join our team as a Fitness instructor to demonstrate and explain how to perform various exercises and routines, minimize injuries, and improve fitness. We are seeking a dynamic individual to lead a variety of engaging health education fitness classes, both virtually and in person, aimed at promoting preventive health services and driving positive health outcomes.

In this on-call role you will:

• Lead participants in a group environment through safe effective fitness classes.

• Arrive to assigned location in advance of the scheduled time to set-up and greet participants.

• Adjust teaching style to meet needs of class participants.

• Prepare appropriate equipment, music, or handouts for each class.

• Utilize interactive teaching methods and innovative approaches to engage participants and foster behavior change.

Understands and contributes to Kaiser Permanente's mission, to provide high quality, affordable health care to improve the health of our members and the communities we serve.

• Assume any other duties as assigned by the Program Leadership Team.

  Minimum Requirements:

  • Two (2) years plus of professional facilitation experience.

  • Two (2) years plus of computer skills

  • One (1) year plus of fitness class facilitation
