In this position...

The Ford Model e Customer Team’s purpose is to deliver experiences that delight & empower our customers to move into the EV future and thrive as Ford owners.

The Model e Content Creator - Strategy and Copywriting is responsible for building our content creation capability from the ground up. This individual will partner with a small but mighty team to rethink how Model e creates content and what an amazing digital experience is for our customers. Primary focus is on strategic story telling focused on driving evocative content that is functional and drives conversion. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of language, exceptional writing skills, and a keen understanding of branding and strategies. What you'll do...

  • Partner with other Model e and Ford teams to create dedicated message houses and strategy across our digital experiences.

  • Collaborate with the team to develop effective and creative cross-channel content strategies and simplified story arc focused on highest priority USPs. This includes co-creating the foundational briefs that drive what success looks like.

  • Never loses sight of their objective–to deliver inspiring content and great creative thinking. They inspire and motivate and are also the first to defend the truth when needed.

  • Write and edit clear, concise, and engaging copy for a variety of materials, ensuring consistency in brand voice and messaging.

  • Co-lead brainstorming sessions and originate fresh, innovative creative ideas quickly

  • Recommend measures to improve work process methods and quality of product.

  • Channel agnostic with a heavy emphasis on Model e digital website, most specifically copywriting, including:

  • Model e vehicle nameplate pages on Ford.com

  • Electric vehicle education pages

  • Home charging and public charging ecosystem

  • Commerce experience

  • Instore point of sale tool

  • Partner with Content creators to ideate specific videos, content, graphics and UI to deliver on our strategic briefs

  • Champion simplification of messaging and copy across the site

  • Partner with merchandising team to deliver aways on iterative content

  • Conduct research and stay updated on industry trends to produce relevant and compelling content.

  • Work closely with designers and other team members to ensure that the copy aligns with visual elements and overall objectives.

  • Proofread and edit content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.

You'll have...

  • Bachelor's degree required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of UX writing, content strategy and or copywriting for digital content

  • Proven ability to craft succinct and effective copy, writing and formatting for digital native experience

  • Proven ability to work with visual partners to create a look and feel for an idea – from platform to execution

  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.

  • Excellent command of language and grammar, with the ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and platforms.

  • Familiarity with modern creative tools (e.g. Figma)

  • A creative mindset and the ability to generate original ideas and compelling storytelling.

  • 10% travel required to WHQ and for dealer events throughout the US

Even better, you may have...

  • Undergraduate major/ area of study in English, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience creating and writing digital content

  • An outstanding portfolio that showcases highly conceptual abilities, along with the high-end production experience necessary

  • Impeccable writing skills with a love for storytelling, evidenced in your work

  • An ability to professionally engage with and take criticism from team members.

  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to persuade.

  • Experience leading projects and proven organizational skills to get projects over the line.

  • The desire and ability to work collaboratively with a small team.

  • Experience with automobile and/or luxury/premium brands necessary

  • Automotive experience a plus

  • Must have a knack for creative

  • Self-motivated and curious

  • Strong leadership and communications skills
