Amentum Plant Operations Coordinator in Atlanta, Georgia

Essential Job Duties:

  • Lead by example in modeling the safety behaviors and attitude expected by Amentum.

  • Ensure employees comply with EHS policies and requirements by frequently visually verifying compliance. Immediately engage employee not in compliance.

  • Participate in injury management, incident investigation, cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.

  • Recognize employees for their work contributions regularly through informal and formal recognition.

  • Act as site safety manager, responsible for the effectiveness of the Safety Committee and leading monthly meetings.

  • Ensure safety guidelines, workplace safety policies and OSHA requirements are followed by initiating site inspections and directing various audits. Responsible for maintaining data of the inspections and audits to provide upon request.

  • Monitor performance objectives for the plant and ensure the integrity and accuracy of all data collected throughout the plant.

  • Analyze site and individual performance and make recommendations on necessary adjustments.

  • Oversee and conduct product cycle counts daily, and input data as required. Maintain site inventory performance data and report on performance to goal.

  • Serve as interface between Company and customer system and services function.

  • Install routine updates and hook-ups on customer computer systems. Run reports, as needed for customer IT and management.

  • Maintain employee personnel and site training files.

  • Receive and process site invoices daily, including review for accuracy, addition to the invoice log, entry into the invoice system, tracking payment, and approval as needed for processing.

  • Perform all administrative functions for front office, including assisting visitors, accounts payable, filing, etc.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.

  • Customer database access/clearance, or ability to obtain. Note: Must reside in the US currently and for the prior five years to obtain a customer clearance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Superior computer skills with a working knowledge of MS Office and how to create Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations.

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Strong analytical and personal leadership skills.

  • Experience troubleshooting computer hardware such as printers, monitors, RF scanners, etc.

  • Ability to work in and with a diverse staff scheduled throughout a 2-shift operation.
