We are looking for a Principal Group Engineering Manager to join our team .

Our team delivers business applications for Connected Customer Care – for contact centers supporting customers on real-time chats with AI and live agents. And as a Principal Group Engineering Manager, you will work with business and technology leaders as well as internal business users and partners to conceive, design and implement Dynamics 365 applications and pick the best technical architecture to solve their business needs.

Our product builds on cloud-scale backend services, integrates AI services, and delivers end-to-end experiences through embedded web chat, social channels like WhatsApp, and extensibility through realtime APIs.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees partnership with appropriate stakeholders (e.g., project manager, technical lead) to determine user requirements within and across teams for multiple solutions or product lines. Leverages a variety of feedback channels to incorporate insights into future designs or solution fixes.

  • Oversees team and efforts, influences, and holds ownership of efforts and design discussions for overall system architecture of entire products/solutions that are deeply complex and often ambiguous.

  • Oversees team and establishes best practices to create a clear and articulated plan for testing and assuring quality of solutions, and defines success for outcomes of tests (e.g., unit tests).

  • Oversees team members within and across teams by producing extensible and maintainable code. Optimizes, debugs, refactors, and reuses code to improve performance and maintainability, effectiveness, and return on investment (ROI). Identifies best practices and coding patterns and provides deep expertise on the coding and validation strategy.

  • Oversees team and acts as an expert in design and integration and signs off on work of others across teams or multiple products on telemetry on systems and products system behavior, such as performance, reliability, availability, and utility to provide feedback on system, and implement safety mechanisms resulting in iterative feedback loops resulting in subsequent designs.

  • Shares and teaches others best practices about new tools and strategies.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

  • OR equivalent experience,

  • 2+ years of people management experience as a Manager of Managers

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in object-oriented languages

  • Knowledge of end-to-end software development lifecycle

Software Engineering M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $161,600 - $286,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $209,600 - $314,400 per year.
