Job Description:

OVERVIEW

  • Responsible for providing advice and recommendations for patent, trademark, brand, copyright, technology, proprietary information, knowhow and other intellectual property matters in order to obtain patentability of inventions and protection of other intellectual property assets, identifying intellectual property licensing/sales opportunities, markets, and determining the feasibility of product development.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assists with the Development and implementation of business strategies and objectives to maximize protection and value of corporate intellectual property assets and licensing/sales and related agreements.

  • Provides deep business opportunity market analysis, assesses potential markets, investigates and analyzes potential intellectual property development and licensing/sales opportunities to achieve growth and financial profitability.

  • Provides value-added support to the sales and licensing team to decipher patents, trademark, brand, copyright, technology, proprietary information, know how language and technical complexities to assist with proposal development and identification of new monetization opportunities.

  • Develops and tracks patent portfolio and monetization strategies around key trends in industry technologies, market demand and the company's corporate strategies.

  • Research and manage data regarding competitive patent landscape and all survey documentation.

  • May assist in intellectual property ownership, patent, technology, or software license agreement negotiations.

  • Provide and maintain tracking and metrics to identify successful portfolio monetization goals.

  • Works on programs diverse in scope where a deep understanding of current business needs are required to evaluate multiple factors including analysis of market trends, financial data, and technological advancements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ or more years of experience in Intellectual Property Management, Licensing or related field.

Our Principal Intellectual Property earn between $128,400.00 - $192,600.00 Annual, USD. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
