Meet Our Team

Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) promotes shift-left approach and provides standardized process and tools to enhance quality of applications for various WBD brands in News, Sports, and Entertainment verticals. We work closely with our brand partners and act as a center of expertise, best practice, and continuous improvement in the field of quality engineering. Quality is owned by the entire team, and TCoE provides quality engineering leadership and guidance to deliver best application experience to our fans.

Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a passionate Principal Engineer in Test to help architect and build scalable test automation framework and solutions across verticals. Principal engineer will champion innovation through test automation and best practice to improve quality, efficiency, and reliability. The ideal candidate has developed strategic visions and automation roadmap, and built multiple stable, scalable, and reliable automation framework that have been running successfully and provides extensive quality benefits.

Roles encompass a wide range of responsibilities, including:

  • Drive quality initiatives and collaborate with various teams to ensure successful implementation

  • Present strategic plans and automation roadmap to stakeholders and engineering leadership

  • Evaluate and select appropriate automation tools and technologies

  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and team members to improve technology, tools, and processes across verticals

  • Collaborate with other Quality Engineering teams to drive complex automation solutions, influences decisions and outcomes across all teams.

  • Collaborate closely with other automation engineers to design and build optimal test automation solutions

  • Partner with Principal Engineering team to align on engineering tooling, 3rd party services, and infrastructure.

  • Represent TCoE at Engineering Roundtable to align Engineering practices and technical leadership across verticals.

  • Coach and mentor QA engineers/SDET, provide input to leadership on development needs and growth opportunities for team members.

  • Drive cross-vertical Operational & Engineering Excellence initiatives

  • Stay updated on the latest testing methodologies, tools, and industry best practices to continuously improve testing process.

Qualification and Experiences

  • Strong knowledge of various technologies, platforms, and architectural patterns: A Principal Engineer must be well-versed in various technologies and platforms to design effective solutions that meet business needs.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills: Principal Engineer must be able to analyze complex requirements and identify the most suitable technology solutions to address them.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams: Principal Engineer must collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of technology solutions.

  • Ability to communicate complex ideas to all levels. Principal Engineer must be able to articulate technical visions and present it to different audience to get buy-ins.

  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality and continuous improvement: Principal engineer must ensure that the solutions they design meet performance, scalability, operability, reliability, and security requirements while continuously seeking opportunities for improvement.

  • 10+ years of commendable track record of architecting and building test automation solutions

  • In-depth knowledge of industry trends, latest testing methodologies, tools, and best practices in automation and DevOps for continuous improvement.

  • Possess mastery in several programming languages, tools, and strategies to drive quality through automation.

  • Ability to map strategic business goals to a long-term technology architecture

  • Self-starter, comfortable initiating projects from design to execution with minimal supervision

In compliance with local law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles in locations where legally required. Actual salaries will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, skill set, experience, and/or performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Range: $113,750.00 - $211,250.00 salary per year. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and sick time and vacation.
