This career step requires expert level experience. Responsible for the development of high performance, distributed computing tasks using Big Data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, text mining and other distributed environment technologies.

Familiarity with the following is essential for success: JVM-based function languages including Scala and Java; Hadoop query languages including Pig, Hive, Scalding, Cascalog, PyCascading; along with alternative Apache Flink computing frameworks including Spark/Databricks and IBM InfoSphere Streams.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

• Uses Big Data programming languages and technology, writes code, completes -programming and documentation, and performs testing and debugging of applications.

• Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in distributed, large-scale analytics and visualization solutions. Interacts with data scientists and industry experts to understand how data needs to be converted, loaded and presented.

• Works in a highly agile environment. Advisor on technical knowledge and ATT technologies.

Bachelors in Science with major in Engineering.

Experience:

• 10 years of experience in software development, architecture, Big-data and SQL, following skills are required:

• Programming Languages: SQL, Java, Scala, Python, No-Sql technologies (Cassandra/MongoDB, Redis)

• Middleware: REST services, Kafka/MQ/Rabbit, Redis/Hazelcast, Apache Flink, IBM Info-Sphere Streams, BI Analytics and Databricks.

• DevOps: Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, CI/CD, Git, Jira, Azure DevOps

• Data exploration, analysis, summarization, visualization using necessary tools like Tableau, excel, etc.
