High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) is a specialized computer memory interface designed for 3D-stacked synchronous dynamic random-access memory (SDRAM). HBM stacks multiple DRAM chips vertically, resulting in a compact form factor. It provides very wide data channels both within the stack and between the memory and processor. It can deliver high bandwidths needed for cutting edge applications like ML (Machine Learning) and AI (Artificial Intelligence). HBM incorporates RTL style logic design, custom high speed PHY design, analog circuit design, DFT circuits to deliver advanced HBM products using in-house and external foundry processes.

We are looking for a HBM Design Verification Development Engineer. Are you passionate about generating complex verification testbenches and simulation vectors for next generation of HBM memory that will power leading edge AI applications? As a HBM Design Verification Development Engineer you will work in an innovative and dynamic team and will be responsible for developing advanced testbenches for DRAM & Interface die. In this position, you will collaborate with Micron’s world-wide design and verification teams and support the efforts of multi-functional teams such as Product Engineering, Test, Probe, and Marketing to developing testbenches proactively verifying HBM products to assure the best performance, functionality, quality, reliability, time-to-market, and customer satisfaction.

  • This position will be a hybrid role located in either Atlanta, GA – Folsom, CA – Allen, TX

*The seniority level offered will be based on a combination of experience and education.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with design and architecture teams to understand design specifications and requirements.

  • Create and maintain testbenches, test cases, and verification environments using industry-standard tools and methodologies.

  • Develop & maintain full chip behavior model

  • Perform functional and regression testing to identify and resolve design issues.

  • Contribute to cross group communication to work towards standardization and group success

  • Aid in design documentation and communicating best known practices to entire department

  • Participate in continuing education and competitor analysis

  • Proactively solicit feedback from Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to ensure the design quality

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience with verification tools and methodologies, including UVM, SystemVerilog, and simulation tools.

  • An expert level with developing UVM-based System Verilog test-benches.

  • Solid understanding of object-oriented design

  • Ability to abstract complex technical details into an easy-to-understand interface

  • Good debugging and problem-solving skills

  • Experience in using scripting language to automate tasks

  • Experience defining coverage strategy and writing coverage model

  • Previous work experience in ASIC or Memory verification

  • Good understanding of CMOS circuit design

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • A self-motivated, phenomenal teammate who enjoys working with others

  • Good communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts with peers in verbal and written form

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of relevant Verification development experience

Job title and level can scale depending on experience and qualifications

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is:

$132,000.00 - $242,000.00

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. Additional compensation may include benefits, discretionary bonuses and equity.
