Amazon Product Marketing Manager, Undiscovered and Small Business Accelerator (USBA) in Atlanta, Georgia

As part of the Undiscovered and Small Business Accelerator (USBA), Amazon has committed $150 million to empower Black entrepreneurs through the Black Business Accelerator (BBA), which provides access to educational, financial and advisory resources that support Black-owned business owners to succeed as sellers in Amazon’s store. We are seeking a Selling Partner Discoverability & Product Marketing Manager to lead our efforts tied to identifying opportunities to further drive discoverability for our selling partners and their products who participate in our growth accelerator programs, while also driving strategies around how we will market our USBA/BBA products to both our current and future selling partner community.

The right candidate will have a track record of developing marketing strategies tied to driving awareness around both new and existing products, while also having experience in driving engagement, communications and program development. In this role you will work across the USBA organization, working closely with our Education & Benefits team to grow discovery of and engagement with our selling partner products in order to drive conversion. Successful candidates will be proactive leaders who can prioritize well with strong project management skills, excellent communication skills, and have a strong track record of delivery in marketing programs. You are comfortable taking initiative and working across teams in a relatively unstructured environment. You are also comfortable innovating and building programs from the ground up. This role will have end-to-end ownership of the development of our selling partner discoverability & product event marketing strategies. This person should be creative, results oriented, relentlessly focused on the customer, and push to uphold high standards for brand building and marketing execution for our selling partner products. In this role, the candidate will work with the USBA Integrated Marketing and Communications Leader to define and roll out a selling partner discoverability & product marketing strategy, which includes the development of core KPIs.

Success in this role requires having a passion for Small Businesses, as well as a strong backbone, great communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to deal with a significant amount of ambiguity.

Key job responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally across the USBA organization to understand both current products and future selling partner product launches

• Lead development and execution of selling partner marketing communications to drive awareness and engagement in partnership with the USBA Selling Partner Communications team

• Analyze and report on performance metrics of marketing campaigns and set up test plans to improve

• Compile learnings and share best practices across teams to increase effectiveness

• Work hand in hand with selling partners to better understand pain points and use those learnings to formulate marketing campaigns

• Continually engage with the selling partner community and partner closely with the Account Management team on selling partner launches in order to inform broader Integrated Marketing and Communications Strategies

• Partner with the Seller External Relations Team and own the SER Selling Partner Vetting process on behalf of the Integrated Marketing and Communications team

• Partner with Integrated Marketing Communications Leader to drive multi-year planning activities

• Partner to develop and distribute key post event reporting, working to establish core discoverability & product marketing mechanisms

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements

  • Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional programs or marketing campaigns from concept to completion

  • Experience managing and measuring marketing performance in various channels

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing external partners to develop marketing programs

  • Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives

  • Strategy development: formulating marketing strategies aligned with overall business and marketing objectives

  • Analysis and Reporting: measuring the success of marketing campaigns through post-campaign analysis, gathering feedback, and providing insights for continuous improvement

  • Experience presenting ideas to various levels of an organization to gain support for initiatives

  • Adaptability: staying updated on industry trends, technologies, and product marketing best practices to bring innovation to the product marketing space

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $98,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
