Position Summary

The Georgia CEAL Program Manager will support operations and conduct scientific research and evaluation through the collection and reporting of data. Duties will include but not be limited to: human subject compliance, community-based participatory research and evaluation support in a multidisciplinary team that supports community engagement for Georgia CEAL as appropriate. This position is responsible for maintaining and supporting implementation of Georgia CEAL and identified projects in the Prevention Research Center ( PRC ). Georgia CEAL aims to reach individuals in the most vulnerable and medically underserved communities, which often have high levels of COVID -19 and Long COVID infections, chronic diseases and lower-than-average vaccination/booster rates.

This position will assist with implementing evidenced-based, culturally appropriate strategies to enhance COVID -19 vaccinations and vaccine confidence, build community trust and resilience, decrease the prevalence of chronic diseases and increase access to related services among racial and ethnic minority populations and other socially vulnerable populations. in addition, this position will also assist with the preparation of reports and dissemination of study findings.

POSITION ACCOUNT ABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Manages a variety of duties to assist investigators in data collection, verification, and compilation of community-based participatory research and information and/or clinical research as requested.

  • Assists with facilitation of collaborative input and engagement across community-based projects by working closely with partners, cross sectional team members and community-led board members.

  • Assists with completion of monthly, annual, and evaluation reports.

  • Responsible for completing quarterly and special project reports.

  • Responsible for the preparation and submission of Institutional Review Board ( IRB ) applications and supporting documents.

  • Utilizes analytical, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Assists with the management of project budgets and prepares budgetary documents.

  • Responsible for the coordination and launch of webinars, townhalls and in-person forums.

  • Responsible for generating and processing agreements for partners, consultants and contractors.

  • Oversees message development and content for project social media platforms.

  • Maintains and updates project portals/databases, website and content for resource repositories.

  • Assists with the recruitment, training and implementation of deliverables for community-based participatory research initiatives.

  • Manages Georgia CEAL evaluation activities across projects.

  • Prepares written materials on specialized techniques and research results for publication and dissemination.

  • Works with community health workers on implementation of community engagement activities

  • Responsible for collaborating on data collection and management of qualitative and quantitative data collection for community members, participants and partners

  • Oversees correspondence, setup and preparations to include logistical support related to meetings associated with projects.

  • Serves as the liaison for interrelated projects, as assigned.

  • Requires ability to travel. Must have a reliable source of transportation.

  • This position will require working some evening and weekend hours.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, MS Office Suite and all web-based applications

  • Experience with providing support/technical support for webinars/forums/townhalls using web-based platforms (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, etc.)

  • Knowledge of cultural competency concepts that would facilitate research activities involving personal interaction with individuals of varying educational and demographic backgrounds as well as a variety of program partners.

  • Supervise research/evaluation staff and trainees (undergraduate, graduate or medical students)

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Minimum of two (2) years of program management experience

    Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Public Health Degree

  • Prior work experience working in a community-based setting, understanding the underserved community

It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are required to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
