Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) is seeking a Project Manager who will lead corporate financial analysis, plans, and initiatives. FP&A maps out Delta’s financial future for and in partnership with the Board of Directors, CEO, Delta Leadership Committee, CFO and Finance leaders. The team defines financial goals in balance with operational, employee and customer goals. The team brings visibility to achievement of those goals in a way that drives action and continuous financial improvement.

The position provides an outstanding opportunity for the successful candidate to develop executive perspective and cross-enterprise understanding, as well as build and apply finance and project management skills.

The position will conduct projects and processes including:

  • Financial planning initiatives such as our rolling outlook, annual plan, long-term plan, and associated goals. Mobilizes across Division Finance and divisions.

  • Materials for the Board of Directors and Investors outlining Delta’s financial plans and outlook.

  • Maintaining and improving reports and dashboards that provide the right information at the right time and drive action for evolving needs integrating financial data with broader business and operational data.

  • Financial and operational trend analysis to create visibility to opportunities and drive action to capture those.

  • Regular updates to support visibility for the Delta Leadership Committee on Delta’s financial trajectory.

  • Engagement on the above with senior Finance leaders, Division Finance, Investor Relations, Treasury, Fuel, Financial Reporting, Corporate Strategy, Commercial planning teams, Ops planning teams, and HR to integrate Delta’s financial outlook and strategic plans.

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

  • The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and team-oriented atmosphere and bring an analytical mindset with strong modeling, collaboration and communication skills.

  • At least 4 years of work experience.

  • Tableau, Oracle Analytics Cloud and/or other data visualization & analytics technical skills and experience.

  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint and analytical tool skills.

  • Executes quality analytics and models.

  • Drives analysis to actionable insights; results oriented with strong business acumen.

  • Excellent time management skills; able to manage priorities, sequence work, and navigate tradeoffs in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands.

  • Clear, effective communication skills. Distills complex ideas into simple messages and presents data in a simple and clear way.

  • Builds relationships. Able to influence through data, engagement, and process.

  • Able to bridge gaps and detect misunderstandings and miscommunications.

  • High level of professionalism with strong quality control, desire to learn, and continuous improvement mindset.

  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.

  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.

  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.

  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline.

  • Experience in FP&A, Division Finance or other division business planning functions.

  • Financial analysis and understanding of accounting and finance.
