Job Specific Responsibilities
Responsibilities in creating, defining, and driving execution of a national scale installation program (HVAC) across HD Supply’s diverse end markets.
Collaborating with key stakeholders across the business including Sr. Merchandising associates to develop direction and strategy for best in class labor programs.
Merchandising and general contracting/trades expertise
Leading the selection, qualification, pricing, and management of national providers while negotiating costs and setting retail pricing.
Formulating leading assortment that will resonate with customers in target markets.
Translating strategy into actionable tactics to meet or exceed sales, gross margin, and customer satisfaction objectives by working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensuring programs meet key metrics including quality, customer, financial, and operational targets.
Creating and maintaining vendor relationships, make labor buying decisions, and negotiate terms with vendors.
Making hiring decisions, manage performance, and provide coaching to direct reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
5+ years of project management experience.
Merchandising and general contracting/trades expertise
Strong analytical skills
Expert communication and negotiation skills
Ability and willingness to work in a highly cross-functional environment
Ability to work independently
Project management and execution skills
Leadership ability
Previous management experience.
Job Summary
Lead the development, deployment, and maintenance of installation services strategies for diverse markets. Direct resources to achieve positive business outcomes, utilizing internal and external partnerships. Communicate plans to sales teams, contributing to staffing processes and fostering organizational and sales team development. The position requires operation of a personal vehicle, and such operation is done consistently more than 20% of the average work week. If selected for this position, the company will run a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report to ensure acceptable requirements are met for employment.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
Schedules contractors, coordinates project managers, tracks material, logs all communications, conducts customer satisfaction surveys, and prepares all project reporting.
Handles all aspects of contractor compliance which includes administering background checks and monitoring license and insurance requirements for all installers and subcontractors in the program.
Assists in the development of all project documentation as well as training materials for subcontractors and the organization's sales force.
Collaborates with third-party installation providers to cultivate relationships, guide strategic initiatives, communicate business compliance standards, and establish sustainable operational processes to drive business expansion.
Schedules customers, property managers, installers and install project managers, and logs and monitors all project communications, correspondence, and documentation.
Tracks material and processing material inspection waivers, change orders, and lien waivers, while managing customer billing and payment of installers.
Manages and motivates a team of analysts, while handling all hiring, training, development, and performance appraisals.

Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
