SAIC Senior Network Administrator in ATLANTA, Georgia

Description

SAIC is seeking a Senior Network Administrator in Atlanta, GA. This is support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) cybersecurity mission to ensure HHS can actively protect the vital health information with which it is entrusted, respond to existing and emerging cybersecurity and networking threats, and continue to enhance the program to ensure HHS has the capability and capacity to respond to new and emerging requirements, technologies and threats.

This role is 100% on site in Atlanta, GA.

Job Duties:

  • Support major upgrades

  • Working as a VOIP administrator

  • Install: routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers and other related equipment

  • Make sure all networking components meet cybersecurity requirements

  • Track and monitor system firewalls

  • Working with: DNS, TCP/IP, DHCP, BGP, and OSPF

  • Partner with the NOC and SOC teams to resolve important projects

  • Track and report updates for on-going Networking projects

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • Must have a Bachelors and 8 years of experience. May accept an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of a degree

  • Must have 2 years of VOIP experience, preferably as a VOIP Admin

  • Experience designing, implementing, and managing complex network environments

  • Must have at least 7+ years of hands on Network Admin experience or closely related experience

  • Must have experience with installing: routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers

  • Must have experience working with wireless networking technologies and managing them

  • Must have experience working with firewalls and a basic understanding of cybersecurity

  • Must have experience with implementing, configuring and managing network security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems and virtual private networks

  • Ability to monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activity

  • Must have experience responding to security incidents and taking appropriate action to contain and remediate the issue

  • Certification Requirement : Industry standard Network certification such as CCNA, CCNP or similar is highly preferred.

  • Clearance Requirement : Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
