What you'll bring

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Staff engineer to help design, implement, and maintain Intuit's world-class wireless infrastructure across our organization. This engineer will also have the opportunity to collaborate on the design and implementation of Cisco's Software Defined Access (SDA) network.

  • 5+ years of experience engineering mission-critical wireless infrastructure

  • Extensive experience in wireless solutions, in particular with Aruba technologies such as Aruba Networks 7x00 series controller, Aruba Airwave, and Aruba ClearPass

  • Perform advanced configuration of Aruba Wireless LAN controllers, Aruba CPPM, and Aruba Airwave, including new installations, configuration updates, monitoring, security, and troubleshooting of WLAN connectivity.

  • Familiarity with Ekahau Survey or equivalent

  • Experience with wireless supporting voice and video application

  • Collaborate on the design and architecture of network design using Cisco’s Software Defined Access (SDA) platform

  • SME for SD-Access/DNA architecture

  • Have a grasp of how network overlays are created using protocols such as VXLAN

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Very strong oral and written communication skills

  • Preferred Certifications:

  • Aruba Certified Mobility Expert Professional (ACMP) or

  • Aruba Certified Design Professional (ACDP)

  • Aruba Certified ClearPass Professional (ACCP)

  • Aruba Certified Mobility Expert (ACMX) (8.x Code Version)

  • Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP)

  • Cisco CCNP or CCIE

  • Experience working with global teams

  • Experience with integrating networks from acquisitions

  • Knowledgeable with AWS Networking concepts

How you will lead

  • Responsible for the research and development of existing and new wireless technologies used to optimize and maintain Intuit corporate networks. Which include the design, configuration, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of Wireless and LAN components and networks.

  • Optimizing wireless performance while fulfilling security requirements for user/device authentication, encryption, and intrusion detection, i.e., 802.1x RADIUS Authentication using EAP-TLS.

  • Provides tier 3 support with LAN/WLAN networks, client devices, including hand-held devices and associated LAN and WAN connectivity

  • Must be able to multi-task, required to provide daily status/updates to supervisors/managers

  • Responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and modification of wireless network hardware and software. Which include:

  • Network Switches - Aruba, Cisco, Brocade (Ruckus)

  • Aruba / Cisco WAN architecture in both indoor and outdoor environments

  • Outdoor Point to point and Mesh Architectures

  • Aruba Central / ClearPass/ Airwave management

  • Aruba 8.x Mobility Environment

  • Configuration and testing of QoS for voice & video, VLANS, ACLs, GRE tunnels, VRRP, etc.

  • 1x RADIUS authentication using EAP-TLS

  • Indoor and outdoor Site Surveys

  • Experience working on Cisco DNA and Cisco ISE. In particular, with DNA Assurance to monitor Applications, Networks, Clients, and other critical data. Familiar with DNA tools to manage and automate network-related tasks.

  • Improve and introduce best practice procedures, standards, and policies.

  • Must have the ability to practice sound judgment in complex, high-pressure situations

  • Participate in an on-call rotation
