The role.

Are you ready to drive efficiency and sustainability, improve operations, and fuel our growth in the U.S? The Service Commercial Project Manager (CPM) is responsible for all commercial aspects related to customer contracts—from the sales handover phase to execution to project completion. Responsibilities encompass financial controlling, performance measurement, planning, forecasting and reporting. The CPM will act as a financial partner to the CSA (Customer Service Advocate / Project Manager) and the respective Operation Center Leads in driving customer order level financial transparency on cost and schedule. Additionally, the CPM partners with Customers, Suppliers, Finance, Sales, Procurement & Legal teams in delivering an unparalleled order controlling support within Innomotics Customer Service.

This position can be based in New Kensington, PA or Alpharetta, GA, working a hybrid schedule.

  • Ensure compliance with Levels of Authority approval guidelines for all commercial aspects of Service Projects.

  • Set up financial performance plan for the project based on the planned delivery schedule for the offered scope during the sales phase and manage it throughout the project execution phase.

  • Set up and closely monitor revenue recognition: actual vs plan, degree of completion, cost to complete, total forecasted costs vs planned. Ensure full compliance of revenue and cost recognition with Innomotics accounting policies under US-GAAP / IFRS, as well as overall compliance with internal controls, like export control, signature authorities.

  • Provide monthly rolling forecast update to Finance team on project revenue & margin.

  • Ensure data integrity between SAP and other financial reporting tools.

  • Partner with the CSA team in managing and optimizing targeted financial results with due professional care (e.g. project gross profit, cash flow, assets, and financing instruments).

  • Analyze, track and report Nonconformance costs and project productivities timely and accurately.

  • Partner with the responsible CSA on change management issues (variations) relating to the scope of the project. Obtain verification and approval of variations prior to submittal to the customer ensuring appropriate costing and pricing in accordance with PM @Siemens Guidelines.

  • Partner with the CSA in identifying, evaluating, and assessing risks & opportunities, strategies, and response activities. Constantly assess risks& opportunities and their impact either in the risk register and/or in the gross margin while proposing measures to prevent negative margin slippage due to risks that could have been avoided.

  • Support Accounts Receivable activities for Service Projects.

  • Drive Procurement together with the Project Manager by involving the responsible purchasing representative to ensure that the purchase orders are based on the best available bids and are within the set budget.

  • Coordinate other contractual requirements (e.g., performance guarantees, insurances, taxes, sureties) to achieve contract commitments.

  • Actively communicate with customers’ commercial representatives and manage resolution of commercial issues

  • Drive interpersonal relationships, foster effective communication, and manage conflicts.

  • Ensure SAP order is accurate in terms of schedule, status and planned cost

Your profile.

  • Required education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred

  • Required travel: 10% - 20%.

  • Required experience: 3+ years of work experience in Commercial Project Management, Finance, Order Controlling or other related roles.

  • Proficiency in SAP SD and FICO modules

  • Other requirements:

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

  • Must have strong verbal and written skills in English.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Tableau and Power BI a plus.

  • Customer Contract review experience a plus

The pay range for this position is $71,300 - $122,300. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
