Home Depot Services Strategy & Ops, Administrative Assistant, Sr. Director/Director - Atlanta, GA in Atlanta, Georgia

Position Purpose:

The Administrative Assistant performs full administrative and general office duties in support of a Director and/or department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • 30% Schedules appointments and time planning support to ensure effective management of supervisor's/department's calendar. Manages meetings, offsites and conferences to include logistics and catering. Coordinates travel and submits expense reports in a timely manner.

  • 30% Performs clerical duties such as typing, meeting minutes, and managing daily mail to make certain that order is maintained within the department and documents are accurate. Responsible for establishing and maintaining official documents and records in appropriate files to ensure organization of materials.

  • 25% Prepares routine letters, agendas, presentations, forms, and platforms for recognition and milestone events. Drives team initiatives to include All Hands meetings, monthly team meetings and social engagements.

  • 15% Partners with leaders for accurate team headcount and space planning. Monitors internal budget tracking for supply orders, POs, and vendor payments.

Travel Requirements:

  • No travel required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Working Conditions:

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older.

  • Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

  • Provides primary support to a specific supervisor and/or department.

  • Typically has frequent contacts outside the workgroup.

  • Typically assignments follow existing routines or instructions.

  • Typically considers among a few options and past practice when solving problems

  • Typically, guidance is always available and prior permission is required before changing work methods.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PC skills, knowledge, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access), Lotus Notes and the internet. Skills operating standard office equipment (e.g., fax, copier, phone, etc.).

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail. Must be able to manage access to confidential business and associate information.

  • Build and maintain good business relationships with leaders and administrative staff across the organization. Excellent communication with all levels of staff whether in person or virtually.

Minimum Education:

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.
