McKinsey & Company Software Architect in Atlanta, Georgia

McKinsey and Company Inc. US is seeking a Software Architect in Atlanta, GA.[As part of the Technology and Development (TandD) team, work with product managers, developers, architects, and various platform teams to design and develop software solutions. Work with various TandD product teams using a variety of technologies to ensure high application reliability, scalability, and availability. Help teams deliver breakthrough digital products and services and continuously improve. Responsible for the complete technical architecture of the product from inception, through product release, to maintenance. Provide thought partnership to senior leaders for the overall product portfolio direction and how to manage and evolve the ability of architectures. Work with the Architecture Center of Excellence to create reusable solutions and new open-source libraries, use emerging technologies and provide leadership in the development and strategic direction of new products, processes, technologies. Implement secure coding practices, code quality and good engineering practices such as test-driven development, simple code, automated testing and deployments, continuous integration, and continuous deployment etc. Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to the Junior and Senior Engineers to improve organizational capability. Qualified applicants for this position must possess aBachelor's degree in computer engineering, Software Engineering, or related field, or foreign degree equivalent. Qualified applicants for this position must have a minimum five (5) years of experience designing, developing, and supporting highly scalable, responsive web applications and services. Experience must include the following: Working on backend and frontend application using following technologies: Java, J2EE, and Java related frameworks including Spring and Hibernate; JavaScript, Node, React, HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap; Knowledge of Web Services including REST/SOAP; Knowledge of relational and non-relational databases including Oracle, Mongo; working with cloud technologies, and using monitoring tools including Dynatrace/New relic.
