Roles and Responsibilities:
Automate test cases using coding languages such as Java, JavaScript, C#, etc., and tools like TOSCA. As an SDET, you will design and maintain automation frameworks and libraries that facilitate efficient and effective testing processes.
Collaborate with BA/PO and developers during story grooming to review test cases and identify required test data. Act as a liaison between business requirements and technical implementation to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Follow branching strategy and policies to ensure high-quality automation script deliverables. Manage code versioning and implement best practices to maintain a robust and clean codebase.
Work with the release and pipeline team to integrate automation tests into the CI/CD pipeline. This includes setting up automated testing environments, configuring build pipelines, and ensuring continuous integration practices.
Drive automation efficiencies and script effectiveness using Selenium, TestNG, Rest-assured, and TOSCA. Innovate and apply new techniques to improve the speed and reliability of automated tests.
Mentor co-quality engineers on best practices in automation and support backlog efforts when needed. Provide guidance and share knowledge to uplift the team's overall capability in automation.
Required Qualifications:
Good understanding of API testing and experience in writing API automation scripts using Rest-Assured. Ability to create detailed API test plans and execute them effectively to ensure robust application interfaces.
Proficient in running test automation scripts at various stages, including sprint-level, progression, and release activities. Skilled in testing strategy and execution to ensure timely and accurate delivery of testing outcomes.
Capable of performing manual testing for areas not covered by automation. Conduct exploratory testing to identify potential defects and log them in Jira, collaborating with developers to ensure quick resolution.
Ensure comprehensive test coverage and execution of Integration, Acceptance, System, Regression, UAT, Accessibility automation, and Performance tests. Leverage testing tools including TOSCA to validate all aspects of application functionality and performance.
Merge sprint-level tests into the regression test suite post-release and maintain them for future releases. Ensure that regression tests are up-to-date and aligned with the latest software enhancements.
5+ years of experience in software testing duties, with expertise in the expected technology stack, including qTest, Core Java, Selenium, TestNG, Rest-Assured, Postman, and TOSCA. Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and processes as needed.
