The Coca-Cola Company TISC Innovation Senior Finance Director in Atlanta, Georgia
The Technical Innovation & Supply Chain (TISC) global Innovation senior Finance Director plays a central role in the strategic planning and execution of initiatives across multiple TISC innovation functions (Research to Experimentation, Future Flow, Freestyle Innovation Center, Global Development & Innovation including R&D centers, Technical, and Marketing), in liaison with Corporate and OU teams. This position will work across functional lines and will support and help accelerate the TCCC growth agenda by providing a variety of analytics including financial and business modelling, ROI, opportunity sizing, savings validation, process improvement, financial metrics performance review and contingency plan analysis. This role requires a strategic partner who can drive financial results and actively contribute to decision-making processes with a focus on innovation and technical functions
What You'll Do for Us:
Influence acceleration Innovation Contribution to Growth (contribute at least 25% of KO Net Sales Revenue and Gross Profit) and protect and improve margins, while supporting optimization and changes to TISC Innovation structure (e.g. Innovation contributed US$ 2.2 Billion NSR and US$ 1.2 Billion GP in 2023)
Support new thinking for optimization Innovation framework, TISC Innovation structure and innovation focus (packaging, products, equipment, packageless solutions), incl Future Flow, FIC and R&D centers
Work closely and collaboratively with TISC Leadership team, Global Marketing/Global Category teams, Global Strategy and leveraging other global finance functions linked to Innovation (Global Supply Chain finance, TISC Budget Controller, Global Marketing Finance, Global FP&A, OU finance teams) while driving finance discipline and automation/digitization, providing financial analysis and business modelling to support Innovation decision making process/resource allocation and improve Innovation effectiveness.
Strategic finance support to Innovation teams, maintain a comprehensive understanding of global market trends, competitive landscape, and internal performance metrics to recommend strategic adjustments, and presentations to TISC Leadership Team
Innovation financial modelling, data analysis, financial metrics performance review (Contribution To Growth, margins, ROI, NPV, etc.) and actionable insights to drive business decisions
Alignment Innovation initiatives, budgeting and performance with all relevant TISC Strategic Objectives and Big Rocks
Optimize processes and team structure, automate database and data collection process, drive financial discipline to increase Innovation effectiveness
Drive collaboration with TISC multiple stakeholders (within and outside Innovation teams), other finance functions within and outside TISC, and work seamlessly with Platform Services, Genpact and Digital/Innovation councils
COMMUNICATON COMPLEXITIES:
Highly complex organization (over 700 associates across 4 departments and multiple sub-functions, with stakeholders from various background such as R&D, Innovation, Engineering, etc.)
Global function with associates in multiple locations around the world
Fast moving, changing and expanding TISC structure
Communications range from Strategic discussions with senior management, daily project/activity management with junior associates and explaining/sharing financial analysis/modelling with non-finance associates ANALYSIS:
Financial management of projects is quite unique to TISC, across different functions, and require specific processes and support to stakeholders, who have strong technical background but limited finance expertise
Job requires the finance director to be a change agent, driving for improved processes, leveraging automation and digitization opportunities but also improving internal communication, collaboration and role sort across various participants in the Innovation management processes
J U DGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING:
Strong strategic thinking ability and a a deep business acumen are critical to the Innovation finance director contribution to Innovation success and influence stakeholders decisions
The Innovation Finance director is solely responsible and accountable for accuracy of financial modelling and Innovation financial reporting and ensure that OPEX/Capex budgets are adequately managed by the TISC Controller
The position requires a deep understanding of Contribution To Growth (CTG) past performance and be able to forecast future CTG, identifying risks and opportunities to the Innovation pipeline and impact on CTG
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The TISC Innovation senior finance director manages one full-time finance associate and oversees/influences work done by Platform Services, Genpact associates and external service providers
Position also plays an important role in educating non finance TISC stakeholders regarding financial tools, modelling and metrics relevant to Innovation contribution to growth
