Responsibilities
As a Trust and Safety Operations Program Manager , you will sit at the center of operations responsible for driving machine learning, AI technology, and digital safety, enabling Microsoft’s enterprise customers to address real-world business needs across a variety of use cases. Primarily, you will be providing centralized services for our global human review teams who deliver annotation guidelines, data labeling, and content moderation to enable digital safety across Microsoft’s products. The role is located in Atlanta, Georgia, Reno, Nevada or Charlotte, NC, and will work directly with our global team.
As a Trust and Safety Operations Program Manager, you will:
Create, iterate, and test new human review guidelines.
Perform data labeling and quality arbitration for guideline build & testing.
Design and test the guidelines and operational procedures for ensuring agreed-upon standards with internal customers and stakeholders.
Work in operations side-by-side with the subject matter experts and follow up with solutions for process and/or policy improvement.
Leverage the work of teammates and colleagues while positioning your work so it can be leveraged by others.
Be able to communicate your work and the work of the team to our broad set of senior stakeholders and drive feedback and alignment.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media, Journalism, Behavioral Psychology, Criminal Justice, Linguistics, Education, Business, Computer Science, or related field AND 2+ years of relevant experience (e.g., digital safety, content review, the use and creation of content moderation tools, data annotation).
OR equivalent experience.
Business level fluency to read, write and speak English
Preferred Experience:
Experience working with human-generated or AI-generated harmful materials across multiple media types and creating objective recommendations, grounded and supported by research and data.
Real-world experience in Generative AI, Responsible AI, Digital Safety, Security, Compliance, or Risk Management.
Motivated to work with internationally and geographically distributed teams.
Experience in proactively identifying issues, investigating, developing a solution, implementing change, and monitoring results.
Experience problem-solving and critical thinking in a professional capacity.
Experience in content policy, child safety issues, and reviewing online content.
Experience influencing others, where support is critical to success.
Business Program Management IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $75,100 - $148,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,800 - $163,300 per year.
