Recreation Coordinator GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION: The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Recreation in coordinating all Sports, Fitness & Recreation programs, and leagues within a Licensed After School Program (2 sites) and our Teen Center. The Recreation Coordinator will be responsible for providing support to the Recreation Director by helping to manage, supervise and coach Club leagues within the Boys and Girls Club Arena. The Recreation Coordinator will assist with daily duties, scheduling, coordinating members, sign-ups/ rosters. Additionally, the Recreation Coordinator is responsible coordinating with the Director and assisting with the management and implementation of Sports & Recreation outreach that support and sustain BGCAC community programs, and Citywide recreation collaboration. The Recreation Coordinator is enthusiastic about providing our community with meaningful sports and recreation activities that ensure a healthy lifestyle for Club youth.

ESSENTIAL TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES RECREATION * Responsible for meeting the ADA, membership and other youth goals for the Sports and Recreation Program. * Oversees, implements, and coordinates current and new sports programs and a variety of weekly scheduled recreational activities for the youth. * Directs the summer camp programming to include the coordination, implementation, and supervision of the camp. * All additional summer and school year recreation programming as assigned by Recreation Director.

Process Management * Establish, validate, and implement processes to improve the operation. * Establish principles and processes of change and organizational development. * Implement solution using Project management skills. * Identify problems and execute analysis using continues improvement methodologies to identify viable solutions.

Required to drive a motor vehicle.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Work in a normal Club environment which can vary if necessary. It requires transportation between various places.

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
