BorgWarner Inc. Manager, Treasury in Auburn Hills, Michigan

BorgWarner is currently seeking a “dynamic, results-driven” individual to join as a Treasury Manager, Capital Markets at our World Headquarters in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Capital Markets Manager is responsible for cash, debt and overall liquidity management. Responsibilities include, global cash management, cash forecasting and reporting, intercompany funding , supporting capital market transactions and banking relationships. The role also involves analysis and presentation development for management and Board of Directors’ meetings.

Key responsibilities

  • Consolidate, monitor and forecast global cash balances and cash flows, including cash flow models to validate forecast submissions

  • Coordinate regional cash flow and cash balances (OneStream, forecast and reporting)

  • Support capital market transactions, including corporate debt issuances, liability management including debt tenders, corporate dividends and share repurchases

  • Monitor compliance with BorgWarner’s corporate credit agreement

  • Cash forecast: interest expense/income forecast, capex analysis, regional cashflow forecast review and consolidated cashflow forecast liquidity report. Indirect cash flow forecasting responsibilities.

  • Analysis of variances of free cash flow actual performance vs. Budget and vs. Forecast.

  • Highlight performance and analysis for balance sheet activity, working capital trends (DPO, DSO and inventory turns), global liquidity fluctuations and debt/EBITA ratios.

  • Presentation and analysis for management and BOD on cashflow, capital allocation, financing, analytics explaining competitor performance and treasury updates. Preparing ad hoc analysis, trends and variance reports, researching unusual treasury activity and finding explanations

  • Month-end and quarterly reporting: interest expense/income, capitalized interest support and liquidity report review

  • Support 10-q and 10-k filings. Debt reporting: footnote, fair value and debt covenant compliance

  • Corporate guarantee issuance / updates

  • Letters of credit: coordinate renewals and updates

  • Intercompany funding management, including IC loan renewals, drawdown/paydown approvals, and reconciliation

  • Developing, training and mentoring treasury staff

  • Supervision of two financial analysts

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business discipline required

  • MBA or CPA preferred

  • Minimum 10 years overall experience in corporate and / or business finance and accounting

  • 4+ years of direct experience in Treasury related responsibilities preferred

  • Background and knowledge of accounting, tax, internal controls, and financial analysis

  • Software skills, including word processing, Excel, PowerPoint, OneStream, SAP and Kyriba cash management software
