THE POSITION

Sr Staff Software Engineer, Continental Automotive Systems, Inc., Auburn Hills, MI:

Act as technical lead of a software development team. Design, implement and test new features, change requests, and bug fixes for telematics products. Define and update SW Architecture components. Responsible for analysis and root cause of telematics problem reports. Estimate the efforts needed for different SW work products. Participate in sprint planning, SCRUM and continuous improvement tasks. Adhere to Continental's SW development process and follow ASPICE practices.

Full time employment, Monday -- Friday, 40 hours per week.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic or Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related field, plus 5 years of post-baccalaureate, progressive, related work experience.

Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following:

• Developing embedded Linux devices;
• Using C programming to develop embedded Linux devices;
• Using SystemD and Bash Scripting;
• Developing and maintaining software with Git;
• Defining Software Architecture for connectivity features; and

• Using TCP and UDP.

   

Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following:

• Developing applications for each of the following technologies: GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and 5G;
• Analyzing boot-up sequence and scheduling priority fine tuning; and
• Using Doors for requirement management.
