Group Summary

About the Role
Under the direction of the Production Manager, plans, directs and coordinates activities relating to shift operations, including safety, quality, production, employee relations. Supervises the daily work activities of Production Supervisor (s) assigned to the shift.
Your Responsibilities
Supervises Production Supervisors assigned to the shift including but not limited to planning, assigning, directing and coordinating their day-to-day activities. Determines and manages appropriate manpower requirements in conjunction with the Production Supervisors. Ensures that shift employees (new and transferred) have received all required training in a timely manner. Ensures Production Supervisors are adhering to standardized work instructions, rotation schedules, and cross training is done as necessary. Tracks and reports daily production and drives improvements where necessary.

Education/Certification/Licensure :
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of production supervisory experience in an automotive manufacturing facility.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Excellent communication skills: verbal, written and presentation. Team oriented, communicates well with others, and able to interact with people at all levels and departments. Excellent problem solving and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team in problem solving activities. Detail oriented and excellent documentation skills. Strong organizational skills and the ability to successfully coordinate and complete multiple tasks within established and changing deadlines. Working knowledge of safety standards and OSHA guidelines. Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and various manufacturing software.
