Description My team is assisting a rapidly growing professional services company in the Lewiston/Auburn area for an Accounting Clerk opening. Key Responsibilities:

• Payment Processing:

o Accurately apply payments to customer accounts based on remittance information provided.

o Process and post daily cash, checks, wire transfers, ACH payments, and credit card transactions.

o Ensure all payments are applied within the designated timelines.

• Reconciliation:

o Reconcile daily cash receipts and bank statements to accounts receivable records.

o Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or unidentified payments by working closely with customers and internal departments.

o Prepare and maintain accurate reports of cash application activities.

• Customer Interaction:

o Respond to customer inquiries regarding payments, account balances, and payment history.

o Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing and resolving any issues related to cash applications. Requirements Account Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable (AR), Billing, Invoice Processing, Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks
