Chemung Canal Trust Company Hub Manager - Auburn in Auburn, New York

Manages multiple branch offices in order to meet the financial services needs of the clients in the assigned community market area.

  • Works with management in establishing personal, growth, sales, and profit objectives. Provides input to these objectives and to the manner in which performance will be measured and controlled.

  • Insures the branch offices are properly staffed and that the staff is trained to meet client service needs as well as sales objectives.

  • Makes certain that all branch operations are performed in accordance with established company policies and procedures, as well as outside regulatory requirements.

  • Provides for the proper security, maintenance, and cleanliness of the branch offices. Supervises the opening and closing of the building and vault. Makes necessary provisions for the securing and accounting of negotiable papers.

  • Provides a broad range of consumer services to clients of the branches, including deposit, loan, wealth management, and other miscellaneous products and services. Approves or rejects loan applications within individual lending authority. Assists clients in obtaining specialized services from other company departments as necessary.

  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all company consumer products and services in order to ascertain client needs and to sell in conjunction with those needs. Makes certain that all client service personnel are adequately trained both with respect to product knowledge and selling techniques.

  • Conducts regularly scheduled (at least monthly) sales and client service meetings. Insures that all sales and client service reporting information is provided on a timely basis.

  • Serves as an active member of the branch client service team by performing all duties and, as such, is held accountable for sales performance.

  • Makes outside sales and client service calls on present and prospective clients within the branches’ market area. Maintains ongoing business relationships with present clients in order to take advantage of additional cross-selling opportunities.

  • Advocates for Chemung Canal Trust Company by leveraging their visibility and activity in the community.

  • Implements strategies to achieve goals assigned to the department as established in the department’s annual operating plan. Assists in the development of the annual budget for the office and adheres to budget parameters.

  • Organizes the work and activities of the branch offices in order to achieve established goals. Monitors the efficiency and performance of the offices versus established standards.

  • Supervises the preparation and scanning of all teller work per established guidelines.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws, inclusive of interviewing, hiring and training, planning assigning and directing work, developing employees and appraising performance, rewarding, coaching, disciplining, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Conforms to General Performance Expectations as identified for all employees.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Intermediate formal education or equivalent preferred

  • Specialized bank education and training

  • Branch Manager experience is required with a minimum of 2-4 years preferred; proven success in business development required

  • Experience managing in a multi-site environment preferred; demonstrated ability to lead a high volume office is a plus;

  • Strong communication, interpersonal and sales skills

  • A thorough knowledge of the features and benefits of all company products and services

  • A working knowledge of operating policies and procedures

  • Excellent leadership skills to manage multiple offices, including remotely; strong ability to develop staff is required

  • Moderate computer skills

  • Proficient reading, writing, grammar and math skills

  • A valid driver’s license

  • Must be able to support multiple branch locations as needed

    Salary Range $71,680 to $108,544 annually

Compensation offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education and, where applicable, licenses or certifications obtained.
